Cri du Chat syndrome

Abstract 

Cri du Chat syndrome is a rare genetic condition affecting the short arm of chromosome 5. A range of clinical features, including the characteristic “cat-like” cry and developmental delay, is recognized in children with the syndrome. A higher incidence of certain paediatric orthopaedic conditions such as scoliosis, developmental dysplasia of the hip and pes planus and varus has also been observed.
